Simon qualified as a solicitor in 1980 and became a partner in 1982 at the law firm of Haxby Jarvis which merged with BTTJ in 1991. After 30 years as a partner at BTTJ Simon stepped down in 2021 taking up a new role as a consultant.

Simon has been a well-respected & admired member of the team by both colleagues & clients alike for his service and dedication over the years both as a Partner and an exceptional, respected and revered Lawyer. He has been an integral member of staff and has been at the forefront of helping to set up a first-class, forward moving Property department, leaving them in the best possible position to carry on successfully providing services to clients in the future

In April 2024, Simon retired from his role of Conultant, remaing as a Non-practicing Consultant.
