BTTJ’s charity of the year 2025 – 2026

31st March 2026

We are very proud to have been supporting local charity The Shakespeare Hospice for the last 12 month as our charity of the year

We are delighted to have been able to raise over £4302 for the charity – The services of The Shakespeare Hospice are free at the point of delivery, but they are not free to provide. They rely on the generosity of their supporters to raise 90% of their income

Over the last 12 months, our staff have taken part in various fundraising activities including:

? Kicking off our support with a table at the charity dinner last May ??

? Two very brave colleagues Marie Hardy & Sarah Rouse jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet ?

? Team ‘Brindley Twist Rafft & James’ taking part in a Dragon Boat Race ?

? Charity bingo at our staff summer event ??

? Lunchtime yoga where staff paid to take part with all proceeds being donated ????

? Various ‘dress down days’ & office cake sales such as a dress in red, white & blue to the office to coincide with VE day & a Christmas jumper day ?

? Encouraging our staff to donate to The Shakespeare Hospice in lieu of sending Christmas cards ?

Alongside this, we’ve dropped off a van full of charity shop donations to The Shakespeare Hospice Retail shops twice, to help them make money from sales & had a lovely & insightful visit to the hospice itself

A big thank you to staff, friends, family, contacts & clients that have donated to our JustGiving pages to help with our sponsorship efforts over the last year

We wish the team at The Shakespeare Hospice every success for the future for their fundraising & the amazing work they do to support their patients & their families. You can find out more about the charity here: https://www.theshakespearehospice.org.uk/

After asking our staff to nominate local charities for our 2026 – 2027 charity of the year, the charity has been selected & will be announced very soon!
