Southam Book Festival 2025

1st October 2025

Bookfest 2025 will take place on Sunday October 12th at the Graham Adams Centre. It will run from 11am to 4pm.

You can find out more about the festival by visiting the Southam Book Festival website here.

As a local business, our Southam office have once again entered the ‘Book In A Window’ competition.

Our chosen book this year is Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen…… We have chosen this book, the author’s most popular, due to the fact that 2025 sees the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth.

And in fact, this year also sees the 30th anniversary of the most famous TV depiction of the book, the BBC series starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth in 1995 & also the 20th anniversary of most famous film depiction of the book, staring Keira Knightley & Matthew Macfadyen in 2005!!

You can view our display in our Southam office window, 54A Coventry Street.

We hope you enjoy our display depicting this story!

Pride and Prejudice is the second novel by English author Jane Austen, published in 1813. The story explores themes of love, social class & individual growth through the story of Ms Bennet & Mr Darcy.

The story follows Elizabeth Bennet, one of five sisters in the Bennet family, as she navigates issues of marriage, morality & misconceptions in early 19th-century England.

The novel is renowned for its sharp social commentary & the development of its characters, particularly the evolving relationship between Elizabeth & mr Fitzwilliam Darcy, who initially appears proud & aloof but ultimately reveals depth & kindness.

The book is available at reputable book shops & has also been adapted into numerous films & stage shows.
