Charity of the year 2023 – 2024

Charity of the year 2023 – 2024

27th March 2024

We are very proud to have been supporting local children’s bereavement charity Guy’s Gift for the last 12 month as Brindley Twist Tafft & James’ charity of the year.

Guy’s Gift provides bereavement support for children, young people and their families across Coventry and Warwickshire. Taking their first referrals for support in 2009,they have supported over 3000 children and young people to process their feelings following a significant bereavement. Their early intervention service is open to 5 to 25 year olds and tackles a range of emotional concerns, preventing them from escalating and also helping individuals to achieve their potential and continue their lives in a meaningful way.

Over the last 12 months, we’ve enjoyed making up & distributing bereavement resource packs to over 60 local school on behalf of the charity. A number of superstar members of our team volunteered to trek to the summit of Snowdon, we have held themed ‘dress up’ days in the offices with staff donating money for the privilege to do so, we’ve held cake sales, had collection tins in all four of our receptions & have raised money from sales of loom band bracelets courtesy of one of our Partner’s 8 year old (at the time) daughter who along with her friends spent hours making bracelets for us to sell.

We’re very proud & pleased to announce that over the last 12 months we have raised over £7,650 for the charity & we hope that it had helped assist them in their work supporting bereaved children and young people in Coventry & Warwickshire.

We want to say a big thank you from everyone at BTTJ to our friends, family members, clients & contacts who have helped us in our fundraising through sponsorship, primarily for our Snowdon Trek…. We couldn’t have made this total without your generosity.

As we arrive at the end of our year with them, we wish Guy’s Gift all the very best for their future fundraising to enable them to continue to offer the amazing support & service they offer to children in our local area when needed. If any other local businesses or groups are looking for a charity to raise money for then check out Guy’s Gift – they will forever be grateful.
