Solicitor, Medical Negligence
Areas of practice
Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 2012.
He joined BTTJ in our Medical Negligence Department in January 2022, joining us from a local firm having previously worked at a firm in Northampton.
Jonathan has experience in dealing with a wide range of Medical Negligence matters including Orthopaedic, Urology, Gastroenterology and Ophthalmology, injuries occurring as a result of surgical error and delays in the diagnosis of serious conditions such as cancer, sepsis and cauda equina syndrome, he specialises in misdiagnosis/delay of cancer and fatal claims. He spends 100% of his working time dealing with Medical Negligence matters.
"I contacted BTTJ with a medical negligence claims when I was still grieving and being thrown medical jargon about my fathers unexpected death.
They were open and honest and helped me understand the options but also the limitations of a claim. They were there throughout the hospital investigation and inquest to talk through outcomes and explain medical and legal implications. It made a difficult and unknown process easier to navigate.
Sadly, and not through the fault of BTTJ, the payout was lower than we’d hoped but again this was fully explained, challenged and other options explored.
I felt fully supported throughout the process and trusted their judgement and experience. The best outcome for us as a family was to get an apology and BTTJ were able to get this formally for us which gave a sense of closure. Thank you for all your help."
