Kate is a trusted local solicitor with over 25 years’ experience, providing clear, pragmatic legal advice with strong attention to detail and a client- focused approach.

Kate Qualified as a Solicitor in 2004. Prior to that she worked as a paralegal in a very large corporate firm in Birmingham for a year and then at a High Street firm in Solihull as a trainee solicitor where she gained a lot of experience in Conveyancing.

In 2005 Kate moved to a high street firm in Warwick where she stayed for 13 years, 4 of those years she was Head of a very busy residential conveyancing department. Whilst at this firm Kate gained considerable experience in all areas of residential conveyancing and also built a leasehold specialist practice specialising in, amongst other areas; collective enfranchisement, lease extensions, Right to Manage, shared ownership, right to buy – basically the areas that no-one else seems to want to practice anymore!

Kate joined MacNamara King in 2018, working in our Balsall Common office which is extremely handy as she grew up in Balsall Common.  She continues to live in the area and maintains strong ties with the local community.

In 2021 BTTJ took over MacNamara King and Kate remained at the Balsall Common office. Kate mainly deals with Freehold & Leasehold Property, Leasehold enfranchisement, New build purchases, Shared ownership sale and purchases and Adverse possession claims. She spends 100% of her time working on Residential Conveyancing matters.

·        Successful complex RTM and collective enfranchisement involving a lot of parties

·        Completed multiple Deeds of Variation of lease on behalf of a local retirement community

About Kate

Outside of the office I enjoy staying active, either in the gym or out walking my dogs.

I am a strong supporter of dementia charities.

If I wasn’t a lawyer, I would be a professional surfer or a vet – I love animals.

I love to travel and spend time with family and friends. South America is definitely on my long bucket list of places to visit in the future.

People might be surprised to know that I was pretty sporty back in the day - I swam for Solihull and played county netball and hockey. Not sure my knees would be up to it now!
