Catrin Jarvie

After completing her LPC in 2004 at the College of Law in Birmingham in which she achieved a Commendation, Catrin carried out her training contract at a high street firm in Birmingham.

After she qualified in 2006, Catrin worked as an Assistant Solicitor specialising in family law at well-known firms in Warwickshire and the West Midlands. She managed large caseloads of privately funded and legal aid matters covering all aspects of family law including court attendance and advocacy.

Catrin became a member of Resolution, a Family Law Panel Member and also worked as a Family Law Supervisor for legal aid work for a firm in London.

During her time doing legal aid work she attended Women’s Refuges and the Citizens Advice Bureaux for regular advice sessions.

After returning to work in 2015 after having her daughter, Catrin worked at a firm in Leamington Spa dealing with privately funded family law matters.

After her son was born in 2019, she took some time off with her children before returning to work at a charity in Solihull in an advice role.

Catrin joined Brindley Twist Tafft & James in April 2026 and spends 100% of her time dealing with Family and Matrimonial matters, her core areas include Divorce, Financial Remedy Proceedings and Children Matters. She is based at our Balsall Common office.

About Catrin

Most of my time outside of work is taken up with my young children!

I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking, Pilates, going to the theatre and love nothing more than getting lost in a good book.

If I hadn’t gone into Law I would have liked to have studied Psychology.
