Bejul Lakhani-Lever

Bejul joined BTTJ in January 2023 as Property Solicitor in our Commercial Property department based in our Coventry office. She joined us from a local firm where she was a senior associate, before commencing maternity leave. She qualified as a solicitor in 2006.

As a Commercial Property Solicitor, Bejul typically deals with Landlord and Tenant issues (leases, licences, deed of surrender, assignments, consent to assign), Acquisitions and disposals of commercial property, bank finance – acting for lenders and borrowers, property aspects of corporate transactions.

Bejul is an enthusiastic and highly motivated lawyer who thrives on providing excellent client service. She enjoys tackling complex legal issues and achieving the right outcomes for clients. Bejul spends 100% of her working time in her role as a Commercial Property Solicitor.

Notable successes

• Acting for trustees of a charity on a complex letting of a large retail and leisure development. Transaction involved multiple leases, license’ s for works, wayleaves, lenders consents as well as complying with all relevant parts of the Charities ACT

• Acting for a lender for a substantial refinance for a portfolio of student accommodation blocks. Transaction involved the review of multiple title and regulatory documents including tenancies in order to give a clear certificate of title.

• Providing Property support in a substantial corporate sale of a regional tyre sale / replacement business including the grant of leases to the buyer.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with family, friends, visiting new places, eating out reading.

If I wasn’t a lawyer I would choose to work in any area related to Space Travel! I find it fascinating!!
